First Time Buyers 

Stamp duty has been abolished with immediate effect for first-time buyers purchasing properties costing under £300,000, the Chancellor announced today.

First time buyers purchasing properties costing £300,000 to £500,000 will also see a reduction in the amount they pay.

HM Treasury estimates that this will take 80% of first-time buyers out of stamp duty altogether.
